“God could not be everywhere and therefore he created Mothers” - Rudyard Kipling.
And I wonder, what strength does God give to single mothers like mine and millions of other children around the world? I have wondered many times why my mother has to do tasks that are usually done by fathers, from fixing plumbing, changing light bulbs, drilling walls or even repairing the backyard garden. I also wondered why without my father's presence like other families, my mother could still drive me far away every summer vacation. And I also wondered about the nights when my mother didn't sleep
to work, why did she have to try so hard?
When I grew up, I understood that all of that was just because my mother loved me so much. And even though I have hundreds of questions, I have never wondered about the love I have for my mother.
This artwork is inspired by my own story. No matter how mature we become, always remember that mothers are family, the source of love.
